Ingredients for All American Burgers
- Lean Ground Beef
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- Seasoning
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- American Cheese
- Hamburger Buns
- Cooked Bacon
How to Make All American Burgers
- In a large bowl, gently combine 1.5 lbs ground beef (80/20 blend recommended), 2 tablespoons ketchup, 1 tablespoon McCormick hamburger seasoning, and 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce. Avoid overmixing.
- Shape the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties, about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from bulging during cooking.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill the patties for 4-6 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Use a meat thermometer to ensure they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
- During the last minute of grilling, add a slice of your favorite cheese to each patty. Allow the cheese to melt completely.
- While the burgers cook, lightly toast the cut sides of your burger buns on the grill for about 30 seconds per side.
- Serve the burgers immediately on toasted buns. Top with crispy bacon slices and your favorite burger toppings (lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, etc.).
Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor
Small additions can make a big impact! Try a sprinkle of fresh herbs, a dash of your favorite spice blend, or a squeeze of citrus just before serving to really enhance the flavors of your dish.
