How to Make Awesome Steamed Cheeseburgers
- Divide 1 pound of ground beef into two 6-ounce patties.
- Season each patty generously with seasoning salt and black pepper.
- Place a metal rack in the bottom of a large skillet (at least 10 inches in diameter).
- Add 1 cup of water to the skillet, ensuring the water level is just below the rack.
- Bring the water to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat to medium-low to maintain a gentle steam.
- Place the seasoned patties on the rack, cover the skillet with a glass lid, and steam for 10 minutes.
- Top each burger with 1-2 slices of your favorite cheese (cheddar, American, Swiss, etc.).
- Cover and continue steaming for 30 seconds to 1 minute, or until the cheese is completely melted and gooey.
