Ingredients for Bacon And Mashed Potato Sandwich
- 4 slices of bacon
- 2 medium russet potatoes, 2 tablespoons butter, 1/4 cup milk, salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 slices Swiss cheese
- Smoked Turkey Breast
- 4 slices of your favorite bread
How to Make Bacon And Mashed Potato Sandwich
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Toast 4 slices of your favorite bread to a golden brown.
- Cook 4 slices of bacon until crispy. Remove from pan and set aside to cool slightly.
- While bacon is cooking, prepare mashed potatoes: Boil 2 medium russet potatoes until tender (about 20 minutes). Drain well and mash with 2 tablespoons of butter, 1/4 cup of milk, and salt and pepper to taste.
- Roughly chop the cooled bacon. Add it to the mashed potatoes along with 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Mix gently until combined but still slightly chunky.
- Spread the bacon and potato mixture evenly over 2 slices of toasted bread.
- Top each with 2 slices of turkey and 1 slice of Swiss cheese.
- Cover with the remaining slices of toast.
- Broil for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Watch carefully to prevent burning!
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
