How to Make Asian Noodle Stir Fry
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil for the pasta.
- In a small bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard, 1/4 cup tamari (or soy sauce), 1/4 cup chicken stock, and 1 tablespoon sesame oil. Set aside.
- Heat a large non-stick skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add 2 tablespoons vegetable oil.
- Add 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (or more, to taste). Add 1 pound sliced chicken breast.
- Season chicken with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for 2 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
- Add 1 cup broccoli florets, 1 cup sliced bell peppers (any color), 1/2 cup sliced carrots, and 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger to the skillet. Stir-fry for 5-7 minutes, or until vegetables are tender-crisp.
- While the vegetables are cooking, add 8 ounces of your favorite pasta (linguine, fettuccine, or spaghetti work well) to the boiling water. Cook according to package directions until al dente.
- Drain the cooked pasta and add it to the skillet with the chicken and vegetables.
- Pour the prepared sauce over the noodles and stir to combine.
- Cook for 1-2 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and is absorbed by the noodles.
- Serve immediately and garnish with sesame seeds (optional).
Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor
Small additions can make a big impact! Try a sprinkle of fresh herbs, a dash of your favorite spice blend, or a squeeze of citrus just before serving to really enhance the flavors of your dish.
