How to Make Husband S Delight
- Brown 1 lb ground beef, 1 green bell pepper (chopped), and 2 cloves garlic (minced) in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
- Cook 1 lb elbow macaroni according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Stir in 1/2 cup granulated sugar and 2 (24 ounce) jars of your favorite tomato sauce into the browned beef mixture. Add the cooked macaroni and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, combine 1 cup sour cream, 1 cup small curd cottage cheese, 4 ounces cream cheese (softened), and 1/2 cup chopped onion.
- Pour half of the meat and noodle mixture into a greased 3-quart casserole dish. Top with the entire sour cream and cheese mixture.
- Add the remaining meat and noodle mixture on top of the cheese layer.
- Sprinkle 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
