- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- Green Onion Top
- 14 ounces canned artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
- Parmesan Cheese
- Garlic Cloves
- Olive Oil
- Lemon Juice
- Ground Red Pepper
- Roasted Red Pepper
How to Make Artichoke Cheese Spread
- In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese and chopped green onion tops. Mix until well blended.
- Set aside a third of the cream cheese mixture.
- In a separate bowl, combine the chopped artichoke hearts, mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, lemon juice, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly.
- Line a 4-cup glass bowl with plastic wrap, leaving some overhang to help with inverting later.
- Spread one-third of the reserved cream cheese mixture evenly on the bottom of the prepared bowl.
- Layer half of the chopped roasted bell peppers over the cream cheese, followed by 3/4 cup of the artichoke mixture, and another third of the cream cheese mixture.
- Repeat layers with the remaining roasted bell peppers, artichoke mixture, and the final third of the cream cheese mixture.
- Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably longer, to allow flavors to meld.
- To serve, carefully invert the bowl onto a serving plate. Remove the plastic wrap.
- Serve the artichoke cheese spread with bread slices, lettuce leaves, and bell pepper strips for garnish. Enjoy!
Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor
Chef's secret: layers of flavor make a dish truly memorable! Consider what a little extra something could bring – perhaps a touch of acidity like a good vinegar or citrus zest, a hint of smokiness from paprika, a bit of umami from mushrooms or soy sauce, or a sprinkle of toasted nuts for texture. Experiment and taste as you go!
