How to Make Bacon Cheese Melt
- Preheat your oven's broiler to 425°F (220°C).
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook 4 slices of bacon until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from skillet and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.
- Place 2 slices of bread on a baking sheet.
- Broil for 2-3 minutes per side, or until lightly toasted.
- Remove bread from oven and spread 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your preferred cheese) on each slice of toasted bread.
- Return the baking sheet to the oven and broil for another 2-3 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- While the cheese melts, thinly slice 1/2 a tomato, 1/4 of a small onion, and prepare 2-3 pickle slices and a few lettuce leaves.
- Spread a thin layer of low-fat mayonnaise or mustard on one slice of cheesy bread (optional).
- Layer tomato, onion, pickle, and lettuce on the mayonnaise/mustard-spread slice. Top with bacon.
- Carefully place the other slice of cheesy bread on top to create a sandwich.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious Bacon Cheese Melt!
