Ingredients for Baked Salami
- 1 pound salami
- Orange Marmalade
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (or to taste)
How to Make Baked Salami
- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Slice a 1-pound salami about 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick, leaving the bottom intact to hold it together.
- In a small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons orange marmalade and 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard. Adjust quantities to your preference.
- Spread the marmalade and mustard mixture evenly over the top of the salami.
- Carefully wrap the salami in aluminum foil.
- Bake for 4 hours (240 minutes) in the preheated oven. The longer it bakes, the softer and more caramelized it will become. You may want to experiment with baking times based on your preference.
- Remove from oven and let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
- Slice the baked salami into individual portions, keeping it visually intact as much as possible.
Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor
Small additions can make a big impact! Try a sprinkle of fresh herbs, a dash of your favorite spice blend, or a squeeze of citrus just before serving to really enhance the flavors of your dish.
