  • 10 ounces fresh spinach
  • Ground Beef
  • 1/2 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Fresh Ground Pepper
  • Garlic Clove
  • All Purpose Flour
  • Olive Oil

How to Make Beef And Spinach Fritters

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place cubed bread in a bowl and add 1/2 cup of water. Let it sit for 5 minutes to soften.
  3. Squeeze out excess water from the bread. Finely chop and set aside.
  4. Wash and thoroughly dry the spinach. Cook spinach in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 3-5 minutes, stirring until wilted.
  5. Transfer the spinach to a colander to cool slightly, then squeeze out as much excess water as possible.
  6. Finely chop the cooled spinach.
  7. In a large bowl, gently combine the ground beef, chopped spinach, bread, onion, eggs, salt, pepper, and garlic. Mix well but avoid overmixing.
  8. Shape the mixture into 14 patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
  9. Place the patties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  10. Dredge each patty in flour, gently shaking off any excess.
  11. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. (Add more oil as needed to prevent sticking)
