How to Make Beef And Spinach Fritters
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place cubed bread in a bowl and add 1/2 cup of water. Let it sit for 5 minutes to soften.
- Squeeze out excess water from the bread. Finely chop and set aside.
- Wash and thoroughly dry the spinach. Cook spinach in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 3-5 minutes, stirring until wilted.
- Transfer the spinach to a colander to cool slightly, then squeeze out as much excess water as possible.
- Finely chop the cooled spinach.
- In a large bowl, gently combine the ground beef, chopped spinach, bread, onion, eggs, salt, pepper, and garlic. Mix well but avoid overmixing.
- Shape the mixture into 14 patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
- Place the patties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Dredge each patty in flour, gently shaking off any excess.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. (Add more oil as needed to prevent sticking)
- Add the patties to the hot skillet, being careful not to overcrowd. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve the Beef and Spinach Fritters immediately. Enjoy!
