How to Make Beef Freezies
- In a large skillet, brown 1 pound of Italian sausage (removed from casings) and 1 pound of ground beef over medium-high heat. Break up the meat as it cooks.
- Once browned, drain off any excess grease.
- Reduce heat to medium. Stir in 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, 1 teaspoon dried oregano, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, and 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce. Mix well until cheese is melted and combined.
- Spread the meat mixture evenly onto 12 slices of your favorite bread (such as Texas toast or hamburger buns).
- Option 1 (Baked): Place the assembled Beef-Freezies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20 minutes in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C). Option 2 (Frozen): Place the assembled Beef-Freezies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Freeze for at least 2 hours. When ready to bake, increase baking time to 25-30 minutes in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C).
- Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor
Small additions can make a big impact! Try a sprinkle of fresh herbs, a dash of your favorite spice blend, or a squeeze of citrus just before serving to really enhance the flavors of your dish.
