Como fazer Spumoni

  1. Line a 9x5x3 inch loaf pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.

  3. Evenly layer the softened chocolate ice cream into the prepared loaf pan. Smooth the surface with a spatula.
  4. Cover the pan tightly with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 1 hour, or until firm.
  5. Repeat steps 2-4 with 2 cups of pistachio ice cream, layering it on top of the chocolate ice cream.
  6. In a separate bowl, gently combine 2 cups of vanilla ice cream, 1/2 cup stemmed cherries (halved or quartered), 1/4 cup chopped macaroons, and 1/4 cup chopped pistachio nuts. Add 1 tablespoon of rum (optional). Mix well, but be careful not to overmix.
