How to Make Awesome Fried Pork Chops
- Rinse 4 pork chops (about 1 inch thick) and pat them completely dry with paper towels.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together 2 large eggs and 1/4 cup milk.
- In a separate shallow bowl, combine 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper.
- Dredge each pork chop in the egg mixture, ensuring it's fully coated. Then, dredge in the flour mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Heat about 1/2 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot (a pinch of flour should sizzle immediately), carefully place the pork chops in the skillet.
- Cook the pork chops for approximately 8-10 minutes per side, or until a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part registers 145°F (63°C). Avoid overcrowding the pan; cook in batches if necessary.
- Remove the pork chops from the skillet and place them on a wire rack or paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- In the same skillet, add 1 cup of your favorite soup (cream of mushroom, chicken, etc.). Return the pork chops to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until heated through.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor
Small additions can make a big impact! Try a sprinkle of fresh herbs, a dash of your favorite spice blend, or a squeeze of citrus just before serving to really enhance the flavors of your dish.
