Ingredients for Bacon Cream Cheese Crescents

  • Chive & Onion Cream Cheese
  • 1/4 cup (50g) chopped cooked bacon (or ham)
  • Refrigerated Crescent Dinner Rolls

How to Make Bacon Cream Cheese Crescents

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine 8 ounces (225g) softened cream cheese, 1/4 cup (50g) chopped cooked bacon (or ham), and 1 tablespoon of milk or cream. Mix until well blended. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Separate one (16.3 ounce) can of refrigerated crescent roll dough into 8 triangles.
  4. Cut each triangle in half lengthwise to create 16 smaller triangles.
  5. Spread a generous spoonful of the cream cheese mixture onto each dough triangle.
  6. Roll up each triangle starting from the wide end, rolling towards the point.
  7. Place the crescents point-side down on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor

Chef's secret: layers of flavor make a dish truly memorable! Consider what a little extra something could bring – perhaps a touch of acidity like a good vinegar or citrus zest, a hint of smokiness from paprika, a bit of umami from mushrooms or soy sauce, or a sprinkle of toasted nuts for texture. Experiment and taste as you go!
