How to Make Baked Beans With Pineapple
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crisp. Remove bacon with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain, reserving 2 tablespoons of bacon grease.
- Add chopped onion to the skillet with the bacon grease and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine the drained baked beans, drained pineapple chunks, cooked bacon, and sautéed onion.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar and ketchup.
- Pour the brown sugar and ketchup mixture over the bean mixture and stir well to combine.
- Grease two 3-quart or one 13x9x2-inch baking dish.
- Pour the bean mixture into the prepared baking dish(es).
- Cover and bake for 20 minutes.
