How to Make Kluski Pierogi Casserole

  1. Cook 1/2 lb bacon until crisp. Remove bacon and set aside, reserving 2 tablespoons of bacon grease.
  2. Add 1 medium onion, chopped, and 4 cups shredded cabbage to the skillet with bacon grease. Cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until cabbage is tender.
  3. While cabbage cooks, cook 1 lb egg noodles according to package directions. Drain.
  4. Stir in 16 oz cottage cheese, 8 oz shredded Muenster cheese, and 1 teaspoon salt into the cooked noodles.
