Como fazer Furikake

  1. Heat a dry frying pan over medium heat. Add 2 tablespoons of sesame seeds.
  2. Toast the sesame seeds, swirling the pan frequently, until they are golden brown and fragrant (about 2-3 minutes). Be careful not to burn them.
  3. Remove from heat and set aside to cool completely.
  4. Tear approximately 2 sheets (about 2 grams) of leftover nori into small pieces. Add to a food processor.
  5. Pulse until the nori is coarsely ground, but not a fine powder. (About 10-15 pulses)
  6. Add the cooled sesame seeds, 1/2 teaspoon sea salt, 1/4 teaspoon chili flakes (or to taste), to the food processor with the nori. Pulse to combine.
  7. Transfer the furikake to an airtight container. Store in a cool, dark place.
  8. Shake well before each use. Sprinkle over rice, use as a seasoning in sushi, fill rice balls with it, or mix with 1 teaspoon sesame oil for a delicious noodle dressing.
