Cómo preparar Apple Braid

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Unroll crescent roll dough and place it in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Gently press to flatten and seal perforations.
  3. Lightly sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of flour.
  4. Peel, core, and thinly slice 4 medium apples.
  5. In a medium bowl, combine 1/2 cup granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg.
  6. Add the sliced apples to the bowl and toss gently to coat.
  7. Place the apple mixture down the center of the dough, forming a 2-inch wide strip.
  8. Cut 10 slits, about 3/4 inch wide, on each side of the dough surrounding the apple mixture. Alternate cutting the dough strips from one side to the other.
  9. Fold alternating dough strips over the apple filling, braiding the dough.
  10. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in the microwave until liquefied (do not boil).
  11. Brush the melted butter over the top of the braid.
  12. Bake for 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  13. While the braid is baking, prepare the glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup powdered sugar with 1-2 tablespoons of milk until smooth.
  14. Remove the braid from the oven and let it cool slightly.
  15. Pour glaze over the warm braid.
  16. Cut into slices and serve warm.
