  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Prepare ribs: Remove membrane from the back of the ribs (if present). Pat ribs dry with paper towels.
  3. Make the Asian Lime Rub: In a bowl, combine 2 tablespoons brown sugar, 1 tablespoon paprika, 1 tablespoon garlic powder, 1 tablespoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon ground ginger, 1 teaspoon ground cumin, 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional), 2 teaspoons lime zest, and 1 teaspoon salt.
  4. Generously rub the spice mixture all over the ribs.
