Como fazer Guava Bars

  5. Press half of the crumb mixture firmly into the prepared pan to create the bottom crust.
  6. Slice about 8 ounces of guava paste into pieces that are approximately ¼ inch thick. Arrange the guava paste slices evenly over the crust, leaving about ¼ inch of space from the edges.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture evenly over the guava paste layer. Lightly press down with the back of a fork or spatula to adhere.
  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the guava is slightly softened. A toothpick inserted into the center should come out with moist crumbs.
  9. Let the bars cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before lifting them out using the foil/parchment paper overhang. Cut into 16-24 bars and enjoy!
