Como fazer Minty Middle Treasures
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, shortening, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the flour, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Roll about 1 tablespoon of cookie dough into a ball. Place an unwrapped Andes mint in the center.
- Gently wrap the dough around the mint, ensuring it's fully enclosed. Roll into a slightly flattened ball.
- Place the cookies 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 9-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cool, roll the cookies in powdered sugar or cocoa powder. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
