How to Make Tang Breakfast Drink Jelly

  1. Measure 1 ½ cups of granulated sugar and set aside.
  2. In a large saucepan, combine 1 (3 ounce) package Sure-Jell® fruit pectin, 1 cup water, and 1 cup Tang powdered orange drink mix. Whisk until thoroughly combined.
  3. Place the saucepan over high heat and bring to a hard boil, stirring constantly.
  4. Immediately add the 1 ½ cups of reserved sugar and stir continuously.
  5. Continue to boil hard for one full minute, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
  6. Remove from heat. Skim off any foam that forms on the surface using a metal spoon.
  7. Quickly pour the hot jelly into sterilized half-pint glass jars, leaving ¼ inch headspace.
  8. Wipe the jar rims clean with a damp cloth. Secure lids and rings.
  9. Process in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes. Ensure jars are fully submerged.
  10. Carefully remove jars from the canner and place them on a clean, dry towel. Allow to cool completely. You should hear a ‘pop’ sound as the jars seal.
