Zubereitung von Orangen Schokoplatzchen Orange Chocolate Cookies
- Grate 100g of dark chocolate.
- Cream together 150g softened butter or margarine and 150g granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add 1 large egg and the zest of 1 large orange.
- In a separate bowl, sift together 300g all-purpose flour and 2 tsp baking powder. Gradually add to the creamed mixture along with the grated chocolate, mixing until just combined.
- Gently knead the dough until it forms a smooth ball.
- Form the dough into a ball, wrap tightly in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight for best results).
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to about 5mm thickness. Use cookie cutters to cut out desired shapes.
- Transfer cookies to the prepared baking sheets, leaving some space between each cookie.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden brown.
- Remove cookies from baking sheets and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- For the glaze: Sift 50g icing sugar into a small bowl. Gradually add 1-2 tbsp orange juice, stirring until a smooth, pourable glaze forms.
- Once cookies are completely cool, drizzle the orange glaze over the bottom of each cookie.
