- Preheat oven to 200°F (93°C). Place popped popcorn in a large bowl and keep warm in the oven.
- In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine sugar, water, corn syrup, and salt.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until a candy thermometer reads 250°F (121°C).
- Remove from heat and immediately stir in butter and vinegar until butter is melted.
- Pour the hot mixture over the warm popcorn in the bowl.
