Zubereitung von Sharon's Baked Brie
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Carefully cut the wheel of brie in half horizontally using a sharp knife. Gently separate the top half from the bottom half.
- Sprinkle the bottom half of the brie with 1/4 cup dried cherries, 1/4 cup toasted slivered almonds, and 2 tablespoons of brown sugar.
- Replace the top half of the brie and gently press to secure the filling.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out one sheet (14.1 oz) of puff pastry to a 12-inch circle.
- Center the brie on the puff pastry. Fold the pastry over the brie, tucking and crimping the edges to seal completely.
- Whisk one large egg and brush it evenly over the top of the pastry. Place the brie on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20-30 minutes, or until the pastry is lightly golden. Reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (160°C) and bake for an additional 20 minutes, or until the brie is warm and gooey and the pastry is deeply golden.
- Let the baked brie rest for 5-10 minutes before serving on a beautiful platter. Serve warm and enjoy!
