Cómo preparar Heavenly Snicker Packed Cheesecake

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Crush 20 Oreo cookies (or similar chocolate sandwich cookies) into fine crumbs using a food processor.
  3. Add 6 tablespoons (3 ounces) of melted unsalted butter to the cookie crumbs and process until thoroughly combined.
  4. Press the crumb mixture into the bottom and about 1 inch up the sides of a 9-inch springform pan.
  5. In a large bowl, beat 3 (8-ounce) packages of cream cheese and 1 ¾ cups granulated sugar with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy (about 2 minutes).
  6. Beat in 4 large eggs one at a time, then stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
  7. In a separate bowl, whip 2 cups heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold in 1 cup of the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
  8. Chop 12-16 Snickers bars into small pieces.
  9. Fold 1 ½ cups of the chopped Snickers into the cream cheese mixture.
  10. Gently pour the cream cheese mixture into the prepared crust.
  11. Place the springform pan in a larger baking pan and pour enough hot water into the larger pan to come halfway up the sides of the springform pan (this creates a water bath for even baking).
  12. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until the cheesecake is almost set. The center may still jiggle slightly.
  13. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the oven with the door slightly ajar for 1 hour.
  14. Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool completely to room temperature.
  15. Sprinkle the remaining chopped Snickers over the top of the cheesecake.
  16. Refrigerate for at least 4-5 hours, or preferably overnight, before serving.
  17. Run a thin knife around the edge of the pan to loosen the cheesecake before removing the springform sides.
  18. Just before serving, drizzle with your favorite chocolate fudge sauce and top with a dollop of whipped cream (remaining 1 cup).
