Cómo preparar Marshmallow Slice

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line a 20cm square baking tin with non-stick baking paper.
  2. Melt 200g dark chocolate and 100g softened butter in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat 2 large eggs with 150g caster sugar and orange zest until light and fluffy.
  4. Gently fold the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture.
  5. Sift in 150g plain flour, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1 teaspoon baking powder. Fold in 50g chopped nuts.
  6. Pour half the batter into the prepared tin.
  7. Arrange the mini marshmallows evenly over the batter.
  8. Spoon the remaining batter over the marshmallows, spreading gently to cover.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Let the slice cool completely in the tin before turning it out onto a wire rack.
  11. To make the chocolate icing, melt 100g dark chocolate and 25g butter in a heatproof bowl over simmering water, stirring until smooth.
  12. Spread the icing evenly over the cooled slice.
  13. Decorate with sliced Brazil nuts before the icing sets.
  14. Once completely cool, cut into squares and serve.
