How to Make Baked Linguine With Meat Sauce

  1. Brown 1 lb ground beef and 2 cloves minced garlic in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat, breaking up the beef with a spoon. Drain off any excess grease.
  2. Stir in one (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes, 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce, 1 teaspoon dried oregano, 1 teaspoon dried basil, and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
  3. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Set meat sauce aside.
