How to Make Basil Olives
- In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup Castelvetrano olives (halved), 1 cup Kalamata olives (halved), 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves (or 2 tablespoons pesto), and 2 tablespoons olive oil.
- Gently toss all ingredients until the olives are evenly coated with basil and oil.
- Transfer the mixture to an airtight container. Seal and refrigerate for at least 12 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
- Before serving, arrange fresh lettuce leaves on a serving platter. Spoon the marinated olives onto the lettuce leaves.
