How to Make Green Chile Burros

  1. Brown 1 lb ground beef (or your preferred meat) with 1 medium onion, chopped, in a large pot over medium-high heat.
  2. Add one (10 oz) can of green chile salsa, two (4 oz each) cans of chopped green chiles, 1 tablespoon ground cumin, 1 teaspoon dried oregano, and 1 cup of water.
  3. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 45-60 minutes, or until the meat is very tender.
  4. Remove the meat from the pot, reserving the cooking liquid. Shred the meat with two forks.

  8. Garnish with shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, sour cream, guacamole, and your favorite toppings!
