How to Make Orange Chip Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, 1 cup granulated sugar, and 3/4 cup packed brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
  4. Beat in 2 large eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  6. Stir in 2 cups white chocolate chips and the zest of 2 large oranges.
  7. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving some space between each cookie.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are still slightly soft.
  9. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
