  5. Stir in the remaining 3 3/4 cups granulated sugar.
  6. Continue to boil for exactly 1 minute, stirring constantly to prevent scorching.
  7. Remove from heat and skim off any foam with a spoon.
  8. Ladle the hot jam immediately into sterilized pint-size canning jars, leaving 1/4 inch headspace at the top of each jar.
