  10. In a medium bowl, whisk together 1 (15-ounce) can pumpkin puree, 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger, 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves, and 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg.
  11. Whisk 1 1/2 cups of the plain cheesecake mixture into the pumpkin mixture.
  12. Spoon half of the remaining plain cheesecake mixture into the prepared crust.
  13. Top with half of the pumpkin filling.
  14. Repeat layers.

  16. Place the springform pan in a large, shallow roasting pan.
  17. Pour enough hot tap water into the roasting pan to come halfway up the sides of the springform pan.
