How to Make A Cup Of Hot Mocha Michael Smith
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
- In a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water (double boiler), combine 4 oz (115g) semi-sweet chocolate chips and 4 tbsp (55g) unsalted butter. Stir occasionally until melted and smooth. Remove from heat.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together 2 large eggs, 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar, 1 tsp vanilla extract, and 1/4 cup (60ml) strong brewed coffee.
- Gently fold the melted chocolate mixture into the wet ingredients until well combined.
- Evenly divide the batter among four oven-safe coffee mugs.
- Place the mugs in a larger baking dish or roasting pan.
- Carefully pour enough hot water into the baking dish to come halfway up the sides of the mugs.
- Bake for 45-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
