How to Make Open Face Hot Dogs

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Carefully cut two lengthwise slits into each hot dog, about halfway through. Be careful not to cut all the way through!
  3. In a small bowl, combine the shredded cheese, pickle relish, and mayonnaise. Mix well.
  4. Pack the cheese mixture firmly into the slits of each hot dog.
  5. Spread mustard evenly on the bottom half of each hot dog bun.
  6. Place the stuffed hot dogs on top of the mustard-spread buns.
  7. Arrange the open-faced hot dogs in a baking pan.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly golden brown.
