How to Make Hot Chocolate Cocoa Blocks
- Combine unsweetened chocolate, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt in a medium bowl. Mix well until fully combined.
- Add the melted butter and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir until a smooth paste forms.
- Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides to lift the finished blocks.
- Pour the chocolate mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
- Once firm, lift the chocolate slab from the pan using the parchment paper overhang.
- Cut the chocolate slab into 1-inch squares or blocks.
- To serve, place a block or two into a mug of hot milk. Stir until melted and enjoy!
