How to Make Oreo Dessert

  1. Crush 1 package (16 ounces) of Oreo cookies into coarse crumbs. Set aside about 1/2 cup of crushed Oreos for garnish. Press the remaining crumbs into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat 8 ounces of softened cream cheese and 1/2 cup of granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  3. Gradually add 1/2 cup of milk to the cream cheese mixture, mixing until well combined.
  4. Gently fold in 1 (8 ounce) container of Cool Whip until light and fluffy.
  5. Carefully spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the Oreo crust in the baking dish. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  6. In a separate large bowl, whisk together 3 (3.9 ounce) packages of instant chocolate pudding mix and 5 cups of milk until smooth and creamy.
  7. Pour the chocolate pudding mixture over the cream cheese layer in the baking dish. Spread evenly and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until set.
  8. Once the pudding has set, remove from the refrigerator and top with the remaining 1 (8 ounce) container of Cool Whip.
  9. Sprinkle the reserved crushed Oreos over the top of the Cool Whip. Serve immediately or chill further until ready to serve.
