Ingredients for Sunset Sangria

  • Zest of 2 limes
  • 1 cup fresh lime juice (approximately 8-10 limes)
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • Pinot Noir Wine
  • Nectarine

How to Make Sunset Sangria

  1. In a 1-quart glass measuring cup, combine the zest of 2 limes, 1 cup fresh lime juice (approximately 8-10 limes), and ¾ cup granulated sugar.
  2. Add enough water to reach the 4-cup mark on the measuring cup.
  3. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably longer, to allow the flavors to develop.
  5. To serve, fill six 16-ounce glasses with ice cubes.
  6. Add ⅔ cup of the chilled limeade mixture to each glass.
  7. Gently pour ½ cup of red wine into each glass, allowing it to cascade down the side to maintain the beautiful layered effect.
  8. Thread a slice of nectarine onto each of six regular or party skewers and add one skewer to each glass.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor

Small additions can make a big impact! Try a sprinkle of fresh herbs, a dash of your favorite spice blend, or a squeeze of citrus just before serving to really enhance the flavors of your dish.
