Zubereitung von Aloha Cheesecake

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs and ½ cup melted unsalted butter. Mix until evenly moistened.

  7. Add ½ cup milk and beat until smooth.
  8. Add 4 large eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Be sure not to overmix.
  9. Stir in ½ cup chopped macadamia nuts (or other tropical nuts).
  10. Pour batter over the cooled crust.
  11. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the cheesecake is set around the edges but still slightly jiggly in the center.
  12. Turn off oven and leave cheesecake inside with the oven door slightly ajar for 1 hour to prevent cracking.
  13. Remove from oven and let cool completely on a wire rack.
  14. Once cooled, run a thin knife around the edge of the springform pan to loosen the cheesecake.
