- Stir in 2 scant teaspoons minced fresh garlic and a dash of Tabasco sauce (to taste). Season generously with salt and black pepper.
- Transfer the mixture to a large sheet of plastic wrap. Shape into a ball and wrap tightly. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- In a pie plate, combine 1 cup chopped pecans, 1/2 cup crumbled cooked bacon, 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, and 1 tablespoon poppy seeds.
