Cómo preparar Instant Salabat Ginger Tea

  1. Peel 1 pound (450g) of fresh ginger.
  2. Wash the peeled ginger thoroughly and drain well.

  8. Repeat steps 4-7 until all the ginger strips have been processed. You should have approximately 3-4 cups of ginger juice.
  9. Combine the extracted ginger juice concentrate with 1 kilogram (2.2 lbs) of granulated sugar in a non-stick saucepan.
  10. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to medium-low.
  11. Stir frequently until the mixture thickens significantly.
  12. Reduce the heat to low and continue stirring until the mixture becomes a thick, moist powder. This will take approximately 60-90 minutes. Keep a close eye on it to prevent burning.
