Como fazer Healthier Banana Bread

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the 1/2 cup canola oil and 1 cup granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the 3 mashed bananas and 2 large eggs; mix well.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup whole wheat flour, 1/4 cup wheat germ, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1 teaspoon baking soda.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the 1/2 cup milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
  6. Stir in the 1/2 cup chopped nuts (if using).
  7. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before turning it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Once cooled, wrap in aluminum foil for longer freshness.
