Como fazer Nut Roll

  1. In a large bowl, combine 1 cup warm water (105-115°F), 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast, and 1 tablespoon sugar. Let stand for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add 1/4 cup warm milk, 1 large egg, 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and 1 teaspoon salt to the yeast mixture. Mix well.
  3. Gradually add 4 cups all-purpose flour, 1 cup at a time, mixing until a soft dough forms. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, turning to coat. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.

  6. Punch down the dough and roll it out into a 12x18 inch rectangle.
