  1. In a large saucepan, combine 1/2 cup (113g) of light corn syrup and 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar dissolves and the mixture comes to a rolling boil.
  3. Once at a rolling boil, continue to boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  4. Remove from heat immediately.
