  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

How to Make Angel Food Cake Rose S Restaurant

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour a 10-inch angel food cake pan. Do not grease the tube.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the cake flour, salt, and sugar.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until soft peaks form.
  5. Gradually add the cream of tartar and continue beating until stiff, glossy peaks form.
  6. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the egg whites in three additions, being careful not to deflate the egg whites.
  7. In another separate bowl whisk together the vanilla and almond extracts.
  8. Gently fold the extracts into the egg white mixture.
  9. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 80 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Inverte the pan immediately after removing from the oven and let the cake cool completely before removing from the pan.

Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor

Elevate your dish with simple flavor boosters! A final flourish of freshly chopped herbs can add incredible brightness, while a squeeze of lemon or lime juice right before serving can awaken all the flavors. Don't underestimate a sprinkle of quality finishing salt or a drizzle of good olive oil to make your creation shine.
