Ingredients for Baked Banana Split

  • 2 ripe but firm bananas
  • Unsweetened Chocolate Squares
  • 25g walnuts
  • 2 scoops vanilla ice cream (or your favorite flavor)

How to Make Baked Banana Split

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Wash and thoroughly dry 2 ripe but firm bananas. Do not peel.
  3. Place bananas directly on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the banana skins are completely black and the bananas are soft.
  5. While bananas are baking, finely chop 50g of dark chocolate and 25g of walnuts.
  6. Once the bananas are baked, carefully remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly.
  7. Gently slit the skin lengthwise and peel back the top part of each banana, leaving the bottom intact for structure.
  8. Scatter the chopped chocolate and walnuts evenly over the split bananas.
  9. Serve immediately with 2 scoops of your favorite vanilla ice cream (or any flavor you love!).

Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor

Elevate your dish with simple flavor boosters! A final flourish of freshly chopped herbs can add incredible brightness, while a squeeze of lemon or lime juice right before serving can awaken all the flavors. Don't underestimate a sprinkle of quality finishing salt or a drizzle of good olive oil to make your creation shine.
