How to Make Baked Beans
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Drain one (15-ounce) can of pork and beans and one (15-ounce) can of white beans into a large, oven-safe bowl.
- Add 1 medium onion, chopped; 1 medium apple (such as Honeycrisp or Fuji), cored and chopped; 1/2 cup barbecue sauce; 2 tablespoons brown sugar; 1/4 cup raisins; and 1 teaspoon mustard to the beans.
- Gently stir to combine all ingredients.
- Lay 4-6 slices of bacon evenly over the top of the bean mixture.
- Bake uncovered in the preheated oven for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, or until the bacon is crispy and the apples are tender.
