How to Make Baked Garlic Rice Pilaf
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Melt 4 tablespoons of butter in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
- Add 6 cloves of minced garlic and 1 ½ cups of long-grain rice. Cook, stirring frequently, until the rice is translucent and the garlic is golden brown (about 5 minutes).
- Pour in 1 cup of chicken broth, 1 teaspoon of salt, and ½ teaspoon of freshly cracked black pepper. Bring to a boil.
- Pour the rice mixture into a covered casserole dish.
- Bake for 25 minutes.
- Carefully remove the casserole from the oven and stir in 1 ½ cups of additional chicken broth.
