Ingredients for Banana Brunch Punch

  • 6 ripe bananas
  • Frozen Orange Juice Concentrate
  • Frozen Lemonade Concentrate
  • Water
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 liters (about 8.5 cups) pineapple juice
  • Carbonated Lemon Lime Beverage
  • Orange Slice

How to Make Banana Brunch Punch

  1. Blend 6 ripe bananas, 4 cups orange juice, and 4 cups lemonade until completely smooth.
  2. Divide the mixture in half. Set aside one half (this will be used to make the frozen base).
  3. To the remaining half in the blender, add 3 cups warm water and 2 cups granulated sugar.
  4. Blend until the sugar is completely dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
  5. Pour into a large freezer-safe container.
  6. Repeat steps 3 and 4 with the reserved banana mixture.
  7. Add this second batch to the freezer-safe container.
  8. Cover the container tightly and freeze until solid (at least 6 hours or overnight).
  9. One hour before serving, remove the frozen punch base from the freezer to thaw.
  10. Just before serving, pour the thawed punch base into a large punch bowl.
  11. Add 2 liters (about 8.5 cups) pineapple juice and 2 liters (about 8.5 cups) chilled club soda or lemon-lime soda.
  12. Gently stir until well combined.
  13. Garnish with orange slices (optional).

Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor

Want to unlock deeper, more complex flavors? Try toasting your whole spices before grinding them, or blooming ground spices in a little warm oil to enhance their aroma. Deglazing your pan with a bit of stock, wine, or even water after browning ingredients can capture those tasty caramelized bits, adding richness to your dish.
