Ingredients for Banana Punch
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups water
- 4 ripe bananas
- Frozen Orange Juice
- Frozen Lemonade
- Pineapple Juice
- 7 Up Soda
How to Make Banana Punch
- In a saucepan, combine 2 cups of water and 1 cup of sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Boil for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, then remove from heat and let cool completely.
- Prepare frozen orange juice and pineapple juice concentrate according to package directions.
- In a large bowl, mash 4 ripe bananas. Add 1 (12-ounce) can of frozen orange juice concentrate, 1 (12-ounce) can of frozen pineapple juice concentrate, and the cooled sugar water. Mix well.
- Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container. Freeze for at least 4 hours, or until solid.
- Let the frozen punch thaw for 2-3 hours before serving. This allows it to reach the perfect slushy consistency.
- Just before serving, gently stir in 2 liters of 7 Up. Don't overmix; you want to retain some slushiness.
- Serve immediately while still slightly slushy.
- Enjoy your delicious and refreshing Banana Punch!
Chef's Tip for Extra Flavor
Want to unlock deeper, more complex flavors? Try toasting your whole spices before grinding them, or blooming ground spices in a little warm oil to enhance their aroma. Deglazing your pan with a bit of stock, wine, or even water after browning ingredients can capture those tasty caramelized bits, adding richness to your dish.
