How to Make Hazelnut Brittle

  1. Place a large, heavy-bottomed pot or saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add 1 cup granulated sugar, 1/4 cup water, and 1/4 cup light corn syrup. Bring to a boil, without stirring, until the sugar dissolves.

  6. Immediately pour the hot mixture onto a lightly greased baking sheet (approximately 12x18 inches). Spread thinly and evenly with a spatula.
